Fluorosilicone Rubber (MFQ):

MFQ contains Trifloropropyl groups next to the Methyl group. The Mechanical and Physical properties are very similar to those of MVQ.

 COPATIBLE WITH :
As per MVQ plus also compatible with
Aromatic Mineral Oil (e.g. ASTM Oil No.3)
Fuels
Low Molecular Aromatic hydrocarbons (e.g. Benzene, Toluene).
Polyurethene Rubber (Au.Eu):

Polyurethene Elastomers demonstrate, in comparison with all other Elastomers, an Excellent Wear Resistance, High Tensile Strength and High Elasticity.

COPMATIBLE WITH:

Pure Aliphatic Hydrocarbons (Propane, Butane, Fuel) but Impurities (such as Moisture,

Alcohol, Acid or Alkaline connectionO can cause chemical attack on the Polyurethene
Mineral Oil and Grease (Particular Additives can attack the Compound chemically)
Silicone Oil Grease * Water upto + 50oC
Ozone and Ageing Resistant.
NOT COMPATIBLE WITH:
Ketone, Esther, Alcohol, Glycol
Hot Water, Steam, Alkalies, Amino Acid.
Silicone Rubber (Q.MQ.MVQ):

The term Silicone Rubber covers a large group of materials in which Methyl Vinyl Silicone (MVQ) is the main. Silicone Elastomers as a group have relatively poor Tensile Strength and poor Wear & Tear Resistance. However, they have many Special Properties. Silicone in general has good Heat Resistance upto + 230oC and good Cold Flexibility upto -60oC, good Weather Resistance and good Insulating and Physiologically Neutral Properties.

COPMATIBLE WITH:
SNF Engine Transmission Oil (e.g. ASTM Oil No.1)
Animal and Vegetable Oil and Grease
Brake Fluid (Non-petroleum base)

Fire Resistant Hydraulic Fluid, HFD-S (e.g. Clophene) Cholorodiphenyl (incl.

Flame-resistant Insulators, Solutions, Coolants for Tranformers)
Water upto + 100oC 8 Diluted Salt Solutions
Ozone, Agening and Weather Resistant.
NOT COMPITABLE WITH:
Superheated Water/Steam over + 120o
Acids and Alkalies
Silicone Oil & Grease
Low Molecular Chlorinated Hydrocarbons (e.g. Trichloroethylene) Aromatic Mineral Oil
Fuels
Aromatic Hydrocarbons (e.g. Toluene).
Burning Test of various elastomers
Nitrile (NBR): It burns with a sooty flame leaving an untolerable smell.
EPDM: Burns readily with a sooty flame leaving a dry & waxy odour.
BUTYL (IIR): Burns readily with a phenolic odour and if colour tested sith
Pyrolysate, it will give a positive test.
Neoprene (CR): It burns with a sparkling flame with HCL orour and if tested with
Copper (Heat the Copper and touch to the sample) the flame will glow green.
Fluorocarbon (Fpm): It burns and leaves an acrid HF odour and it can easily be
found out due to its higher density than other Elastomers (VITON).
Natural Rubber (NR): It burns continuously and becomes sticky and leaves a black
patch on the holding portion.
Polyurethene (AU.Eu): It burns and melts leaving drops continuously.
Silicone (Q.MQ.MVQ): It burns with a white flame giving white smoke
(No other Elastomer gives white smoke) smelling like bitter almond.
